Could there be a successful treatment? i am the guinea pig.

According to, http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1365-2230.2007.02591.x
there is a successful treatment for this condition, in the name of; auranofin.
Before people start rushing out, and asking their doctor to put them on this treatment, i am going to diarise, and trial this, i will be keeping a daily blog of this, to keep people in the loop.

my doctors appt is in an hour, let us hope this works!! (Fingers and everything else is crossed)

What is Jessners?

Jessners it is my belief in the research i have made, that it is a Dermal variant of Lupus, i get red raised rashes on my face, and neck sometimes on my legs. then the swelling will go down, and seems to re-appear at will.
i was diagnosed in 1999, at that time, whether it is just coincidence or not, i had just switched brands of cigarettes, from Benson and Hedges gold, to Sovereign, combined with the stress of splitting up with my then partner, see my other blog, whocaresforfathers.blogspot.com.
i think these were significant factors in the beginning of my condition. It has all the charateristics of a fungal infection, could it be, nobody knows, very rare condition and no-one seems to want to research it.

Jessners, comes and goes, so does the confidence

Recently went on a date, lol, what a waste of time, even though i am not that bad looking, all i remember is her touching my face and saying does that hurt?
We was chatting for about a week most of the time into the early hours, none of that mattered, all that mattered was the outbreak i was suffering from at that time, (its gone this week) maybe i should have waited till it went? no, she either took me for all my faults or not at all!

Jessners/ treatments

I have suffered with (Jessners Lymphocytic Infiltrate) for 7 years, anybody who knows this horrible skin condition, will know that it fluctuates from mild symptoms to severe symptoms.
i have seen 3 specialists, one at stepping hill Hospital (Dr Howarth) who was useless, said to me "why have they sent you to see me"? "you have Jessners, nothing can be done"!
The one who originally diagnosed my complaint, Dr Mcdonald at North Manchester General Hospital, who has retired now but was pretty good.
my treatments have been; Hydroxychloroquine (which worked too a fashion)
Betnovate 4mg and 2mg, (which worked too a fashion)
nothing really works, or not anything i have tried anyway, has anyone had a treatment that works?
